Week of tinnitus<\/strong><\/p>\n

The coming week is the week of tinnitus, quite weird as a carrier of a beep, noise or hum in your ear, then it is namely 24\/7 tinnitus. <\/span>So Tinnitus… you will get it. <\/span><\/strong>When you have it, it is hard to get rid of it, it’s a nasty little annoying injury.<\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To begin with, it is important to protect your ears by wearing earplugs to prevent damage. <\/span>However, for years we have seen that a large number of our customers first run into a hearing problem, are then so startled that they immediately use hearing protection and regret having not done so before.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The well-known beep in the ear is called tinnitus and has many forms. <\/span>The beep may sound like a beep, hum or high whistle. <\/span>Unfortunately you can not turn this beep off and it is a matter of habituation & acceptance. <\/span>However, it is important to have a number of points clear first, what are the causes: noise trauma, stress, overload, impact, inflammation, medication…
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What to do if you have a beep in the ear, day 1, 2 & 3?<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Day 1<\/strong> – you wake up with a beep in your ear – This is a sign that you have overloaded your ears. <\/span>Make sure you give your ears rest 24\/48 & fingers crossed that it’s gone tomorrow. <\/span>A beep is a signal of\u00a0 hearing damage, next time wear earplugs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Day 2<\/strong> – no, the beep is still there – No panic, make sure to take it easy, no noise and no stress, take rest and make sure you do not worry too much, if you have trouble ignoring the beep then <\/span>gently turn on the radio, classical music preferably.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Day 3<\/strong> – beep is still there – Now it is important to call your family doctor and ask for a referral to the ENT doctor (Ear, Nose & Throat doctor). <\/span>Do not settle for ear drops, we look at it for a while… will not help you. <\/span>An ENT doctor can take a good ear-test and, if applicable, treat it with medication. <\/span>Note that this must be within two weeks, the sooner the better.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

After three weeks<\/strong> – the noise is still there – now it will be difficult and you will have to speak to a specialist. <\/span>No panic, it is annoying, but in time it will be less, you will get used to it, but for now… Never go out without your earplugs, you can not take the risk that the tinnitus gets worse.
\n\"\"
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Tinnitus is common and is activated by the brain as a result of a neurological disturbance, the hair cells in the cochlea of the ear do not know well what their function is and the brain fill this deviation by a beep, hum or noise. <\/span>In case your ears have an overload then it is important to visit an ENT doctor within 14-21 days. Perhaps there is something to do about it, in some cases tinnitus can be regenerated with medication.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Once you have a tinnitus, it is important to never leave without your earplugs. <\/span>Prevent the beep getting worse or more-toned, so protect your ears from overload at all times. <\/span>The ear, essential in our daily life, for directional sensitivity, communication, balance organ indispensable and therefore it is super important to handle it carefully. <\/span>In the week of tinnitus, there are all sorts of meet-ups where you can ask questions and where information is provided by doctors and experiential experts. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Fireworks have its origin in the far east, fireworks come from China. <\/span>Between 618 and 907 during the Tang Dynasty fireworks were invented by a cook, according to tradition. <\/span>The pops were used in religious events to chase away the evil spirits. <\/span>After the discovery of gunpowder in the 13th century in China, fireworks quickly found their way to Europe. <\/span>Firework spectacles were performed at many courts. <\/span>New Year’s Eve today is celebrated in Europe with large fireworks shows, from Paris to Rome.<\/span> <\/strong>At Earproof we are always working to save the ears of you and your friends, also during the upcoming New Year’s Eve parties, we will be committed to protecting your ear<\/strong>s!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Fireworks, in fact, it is strange that these loud bangs are still allowed in all European cities. <\/span>The little firecrackers are pretty harmless, but the explosions that normally have to explode high in the air are dangerous when used incorrectly on the ground! <\/span>The explosions are so powerful that your fingers, eyes and your ears can be permanently damaged. <\/span>You do not even have to light the fireworks yourself, it is very often the bystanders who suffer damage.

\n<\/span>Beep in my ear<\/strong>
\n<\/span>I myself played with fireworks at a young age. The fun was to wait as long as possible, to let it explode in the air. <\/span>Unfortunately, one firecracker exploded accidentally next to my right ear. <\/span>The direct effect was bizarre, kind of numbness – no longer hearing, but a whining sound. <\/span>The hearing came back later that day, however, 30 years later, dreamed of a blast at night and woke up in the morning with a huge beep in my ear! <\/span>We all know this beep, such a beep after you have been a night out. <\/span>The first weeks I was in a total panic, why does this beep not go away ?! <\/span>Now 12 years later this beep is still there, the off button cannot be found and on my audiogram is a visible a loss of 70db at 6 kHz to measure.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For the countdown, champagne and kisses: wear your earplugs!<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Everyone with a tinnitus condition will blame something for it. <\/span>I blame the firecracker that exploded next to my ear. <\/span>After this event, I’m no longer enthusiastic about fireworks, I’m afraid and my fear that my beep will get worse is certainly present.
